A Washington woman has been charged with a hate crime for filming her own racially charged road rage incident and broadcasting it on Facebook Live.
In the ten minute video the woman, Sandra Jametski, tails a Mexican family in her car, ranting about their driving and their “Spanish privilege.” According to Jametski’s rant, the family owns four vehicles and their kids go to prep school.
“This is America. We don’t drive like that here. We don’t drive like you’re in Mexico, lady,”” Jametski says in the video. “This is my freakin’ neighborhood. This is where I grew up. I grew up here, not them. This woman don’t deserve to belong here, she don’t belong here. She don’t (expletive) belong here.”
When the car in front of her stops in a school parking lot, Jametski rails against the family further. She blames one of the children for causing a car accident last year, although police records claim that Jametski was at fault.
Jametski also threatens to ram into the family’s SUV with her car while rattling off racial epithets and saying she will get the family deported.
Jametski was charged in December with malicious harassment, which is a hate crime, for posting the video she shot in November. She is currently in jail with bail set at $500,000.
