Senior citizen Hillary Clinton bungled a campaign photo op while trying to enter the New York subway system on Thursday.

The Democratic Party frontrunner and former carpetbagging senator failed multiple times to swipe her Metrocard in front of the network TV cameras that had gathered to film her taking public transportation like an everyday American. The ride was reportedly planned

Clinton eventually managed to enter the subway, and “seemed to enjoy” her ride, according to a CNN reporter on the scene. Clinton said the last time she rode the subway was “a year and a half or two years ago,” which is almost certainly not true. The elderly millionaire, who has a long history of making things up, has not driven a car in two decades.

Clinton’s primary opponent, Brooklyn native Bernie Sanders, does not appear to have set foot on the subway very recently, either. In an interview with the New York Daily News, Sanders suggested (wrongly) that the subway still runs on “tokens.”

New Yorkers will vote in the state’s presidential primary on April 19.
