Sugar Free Gum against Islamophobia

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) released a satirical video advertising “Islamophobin” a mock medicine designed to cure “bigotry and Muslim intolerance”.

CAIR’s video add suggests that irrational fear of Muslims is all over the place– that neighbor of yours could be a vicious terrorist, an Uber driver named Mohammad is a definite threat, as well as a lady with a veil at the grocery store. Taking two “pills” of your sugar-free chewing gum Islamophobin will allegedly help.

The tablet box, packaged as a medicine, states immediate relief from the symptoms of unthinking bigotry, irrational fear of Muslims, and US Presidential election year scapegoating.

CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad sees a positive impact of the campaign as it was picked up and went viral on social media. However the website of the campaign Islamophobin.org,  Nihad Awad claims, was hacked on numerous occasions.
