A New York woman was arrested for stealing a $13,000 mink coat after posting a photo of herself wearing it on Instagram, according to DNAinfo.
Angeline Chidowore, 39, worked at the high end clothing store Moda Operandi and was in charge of inventory.
After the coat went missing, her boss found pictures of Chidowore wearing the coat on Instagram. On Feb 22 she was arrested and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
Chidowore’s attorney claims his client was simply trying on the coat in the store and did not steal it. Other employees and interns were in the area when the coat went missing who could be responsible. He also said Chidowore wears many expensive clothes and there is no way of knowing the coat came from Moda Operandi.
