Bad news for the Alt-Right – Pepe the Frog is voting for Hillary – at least, his creator is.
It’s Mourning In America on 4Chan as Boys’ Club creator Matt Furie is siding with a girl.
In an exclusive interview with Esquire, Furie says that Pepe was appropriated, and isn’t really into White Power or bigging up the Holocaust.
The Alt Right will have many Sad Pepes after the Trump Slump in the polls following the first debate – and now Pepe’s creator is laughing at them too.
The ADL has recognized Pepe as a hate symbol. Furie says that will draw attention to the alt-right, but also admits he hasn’t looked too hard at what is actually doing on with Pepe right now. If he did, he might understand why the Jewish group had to note what Pepe has become in the hands of some twisted Naziboys for Trump.
At least his creator is here to tell us that this is all forced labor. Pepe, like Furie, is good natured.
Furie doesn’t mince his words:
[The Alt-Right are….] anonymous Internet trolls who don’t stand for anything except for nihilism and getting a rise out of whatever racist or sexist or disgusting thing they can do. It’s just an idiotic joke. They kind of seem like this group that tried to intellectualize white power, and they’ve appropriated Pepe for that. It sucks
And the Trump Train may yet be even more triggered as Furie considers making a brand-new Pepe cartoon showing the green Hispanic amphibian casting his Boys’ Club vote for the first woman President of the United States.
Ouch.
