President-Elect Donald Trump has called for people to come together after the election, but some of his supporters just aren’t listening.

Delta Airlines got a lot of flak on social media this Thanksgiving as passengers posted a viral video of a man in a Trump shirt shouting at fellow travelers that they were “Hillary bitches.” Despite harassing the women in this way, the man was allowed to complete his journey.

Users complained,  and on Cyber Monday Delta’s CEO granted their wish.

In a well-received smackdown, executive Ed Bastian apologized for the airline getting it wrong, and said that the troll would never be allowed to fly on a Delta plane again.

The press release was entitled “Delta Requires Civility on Our Planes,” and it made no reference to the thug’s support of Trump—positioning the airline as anti-rude, not anti-Trump.

As you may have heard by now, last week a video began circulating around the internet showing a disruptive passenger on board a Delta flight. This individual displayed behavior that was loud, rude and disrespectful to his fellow customers. After questioning the customer, our team members made the best decision they could given the information they had and allowed him to remain on the flight. However, if our colleagues had witnessed firsthand what was shown in the video, there is no question they would have removed him from the aircraft. He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane.

Bastian is also refunding customers’ tickets, which is a lot more than airline complaints normally get:

Part of being a reliable travel partner and a servant leader is acknowledging our mistakes so we can learn from them and respond more effectively in the future. Delta has apologized to the customers onboard that flight. We are also refunding those customers the cost of their tickets.

Furthermore, in the heated division of America post-election, Bastian is clear that intolerance won’t be tolerated on his flights. “Shut up and fly,” you might call it.

The heightened tension in our society means that now more than ever we must require civility on our planes and in our facilities…. We will not tolerate anything less.

Social media users applauded the action:

Thank you for banning this disruptive and harassing man.

got it wrong by not removing this man from the plane, but they corrected the error by banning him for life and refunding customers

follow-up: i am impressed by ‘s statement. the man is permanently banned & all passengers refunded.

I hope puts this man on No Fly List! Dangerous 2 the flying public! Good job others should do the same
