Her mother locked up the Democratic nomination just a week ago and now Chelsea Clinton Mezvinsky has her own milestone to celebrate.
Chelsea and her investment banker husband Marc welcomed a new son, Aiden, their second child, Saturday morning. The couple announced the arrival on Twitter.
Even as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump lock horns on the battlefield, the two are also competing to add the most grandchildren. Trump’s daughter Ivanka also gave birth to a son earlier in the spring. She has three children.
Hillary and Bill Clinton released a statement this morning as well: “We are all over the moon as Chelsea and Marc welcome Charlotte’s little brother to the world and grateful for our many blessings…Chelsea and Aidan are both doing well and enjoying this very special time together.” Chelsea and her husband also have a 2-year-old daughter, Charlotte.
While the baby may not give Hillary Clinton any sort of boost in the polls, it does underline her earlier campaign slogan, “grandmother in chief.” And whether her mother wins the Oval Office or not, Chelsea will at least have a solid tax deduction for this presidential election year.
