David S. Gallant, a one-time game developer whose only claim to fame is making a “video game” about his mundane call-center job with MS Paint graphics, has become more notable for his erratic, often cringe-inducing behavior on social media. And he is obsessed with me.
Gallant, a member of Zoe Quinn’s Crash Override Network, a secret group dedicated to “anti-GamerGate” activities, attained notoriety for posting a picture of his bare ass on Twitter while incessantly tweeting about GamerGate.
Following my exposé on the group, Gallant tweeted his hopes that I would “remain friendless for the rest of [my] life.”
Gallant’s obsession with me didn’t end there. He has revealed numerous times that he thinks errant tweets I make about any given subject are secretly references to him. His tweets about me range in the dozens (partial archive) over the past year alone.
Last week, Gallant wrote a poem to tell the world how he felt about me. Someone even made a dramatic reading of it to make fun of him.
David, until now, I haven’t thought about you at all.
The failed game developer once admitted to masturbating while thinking about GamerGate. “There’s no shame in admitting it,” he wrote. “GG has broken me. I’m sure, to many of them, that will be considered a victory. Congratulations.”
“I thought maybe getting off would help me calm down,” he continued. “I was thinking of GG when I came. I need help.”
If he should ever admit to thinking about me while rubbing one out, I’m sure he’ll find a way to let me know.
In the meantime, Gallant is making an attempt to reinvent his online persona as an “Antifa” edgelord. A single glance at his Twitter account reveals statements about wanting to punch Nazis, complaints about Trump, and calls to push progressive politics into video games. Sad!
