It’s taken 30 years but everyone’s favorite plumber is finally fashionable. Super Mario hair art has surfaced on the heads of a few millennials.
Madrid-based hair company X-presion Creativos, which specializes in wacky pixelated bangs, has outdone itself with “Super Mario hair,” which, according to Harper’s Bazaar, it unveiled at a conference in Tokyo last week. The square patches of color representing Mario from Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. are dyed onto hair.
The move is the latest 1980s retro style move after Marc Jacobs stuck MTV onto his sweatshirts and Anya Hindmarch created a clothing line inspired by Space Invaders.
Will Super Mario Hair catch on among millennials? You would think not… but this is 2016.
