Family talks over the fate of Prince’s estate have apparently descended into petty family squabbling.

According to TMZ, which has been the authority on Prince’s death and everything surrounding it, his sister “went ballistic” in a meeting to determine who gets what.

Prince died without leaving a will to help carve up his legacy, which divergent reports have said is between $150 million and £300 million.

It leaves six close relatives – five half-siblings and Tyka, his sister – in the frame to inherit.

TMZ reports that a crunch meeting this week ended in Tyka storming out after claiming she deserves a larger share than everybody else.

It’s not totally clear where Minnesota law stands on half-siblings, with some outlets convinced that Tyka has a right to the whole estate.

Others say there is no difference between half and full siblings, meaning they would all get one sixth.

Judging from the report, nobody is keen on backing off – leaving the stage set for an almighty battle over the pop legend’s substantial assets.
