Frank Sinatra’s eldest daughter Nancy Sinatra has blasted CNN for claiming she is “not happy” for Trump using father’s song at the inauguration, accusing the network of lying: “Why do you lie, CNN?”
Yesterday, CNN published an article “Nancy Sinatra not happy Trump using father’s song at inauguration” in which reporter Caroline Kenny suggested the daughter of famed singer isn’t too excited to hear Trump and his wife, Melania, picked “My Way” by Frank Sinatra for their first dance at the Liberty Ball on Inauguration Day.
The beleaguered network got the idea after Nancy Sinatra said on Twitter, “Just Remember the first line of the song,” when asked for a reply about the song selection. The first line of the song is, “And now, the end is near.”
Sinatra, however, is having none of it. She replied to the article by CNN, writing: “That’s not true. I never said that. Why do you lie, CNN?”
That's not true. I never said that. Why do you lie, CNN? @CNN

It’s now more than 12 hours since she accused the network of spreading fake news, yet no retraction has been issued at the time of writing this article.
Sinatra hasn’t been the biggest fan of the President-elect, frequently retweeting calls to boycott Trump and showing support to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) petition to demand the President-elect to release all “key documents concerning Trump’s conflicts of interest.”
Interestingly, she has deleted the tweet which CNN used to assume her dissatisfaction with Trump using her father’s song– and she has yet to clarify what she meant by that Tweet if she didn’t intend to express dissatisfaction — but as everyone knows, the Internet never forgets.
