Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon is allegedly a woke male feminist ally. He’s allegedly known for directing strong female characters and is allegedly friends with feminist video game critic Anita Sarkeesian. He allegedly cares about women’s issues like the pay gap and the alleged success of lady Ghostbusters.
So why would an ally like Whedon steal the job of a woman, literally putting some female director out on the streets? Why, Joss, why?
It’s true and unlike all his woke credentials, this is not an allegation. Joss is directing Batgirl, the story about a super heroine who is basically Batman but a woman. Instead of stepping aside and staying home angrily tweeting at Donald Trump like he usually does, Joss is inflicting real world harm and widened the gender pay gap by making money.
The film will be made by Warner Bros, the makers of Wonder Woman, a movie which does have a female director.
Needless to say the real life super heroes (woke dudes on Twitter) are taking Joss to task for his transgression.

This isn’t the first time Joss has run afoul of feminism. When he directed The Avengers, he made the grave mistake of including a romance between strong female character Black Widow and weak manbaby, The Hulk. That was totally sexist for some reason!
While not much is known about the Batgirl movie, odds are it won’t be as progressive as 2017 deserves. Batgirl will most likely be a cis gendered heterosexual white woman. That’s not progress! Granted, I am still bitter that Warner Bros. rejected my Batgirl script about Batman’s male to female transition to become Batgirl. While it didn’t contain any action, gadgets or super villains, trans Batgirl defeats Gamergate and ends online harassment.
Joss is a total hypocrite. If he was a real ally he would have retired already and donated all his money to Planned Parenthood, living the rest of his days as a penniless pauper on the streets of Los Angeles.
Do better, Joss!
