Kaley Cuoco, Hollywood Stars Sign Up To Far-Right Party By Mistake

Hollywood may seem like a left-leaning paradise for Democrats, but turns out it’s crammed with supporters of a party that makes Trump and Cruz look like liberal softies.

Fans of the far-right American Independent Party apparently include Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, as well as Emma Stone, Demi Moore and Sugar Ray Leonard.

This from no less reliable a source than California’s voter registration database, which the LA Times scoured and found the famous names among the party’s 472,000 members.

If that sounds like some kind of mistake, then, well, that’s because it is.

Some three-quarters of voters registered with the AIP turned out to have done so by mistake, the Times reported —thinking that they were marking themselves out as “independent.”

Instead they signed up for a party that supports building a Trump-style border wall, opposing same sex marriage and rolling back abortion rights.

Every celebrity contacted by the Times immediately disowned the AIP and said they will fix their registration. The paper even found two of its own staff had made the error.

It is a little more understandable than the predicament of the Trump family, many of whose members missed the opportunity to vote for their own patriarch. Ivana Trump missed the registration deadline in New York to support The Donald in yesterday’s primary.

Eric and Ivanka also came in too late due to NY registration rules that are arguably much too demanding in the first place.

When informed most of his supporters had simply been duped, AIP chairman Mark Seidenberg disowned them right back, telling the Times: “A lot of people just don’t understand what they’re doing when they fill out a form.”
