Draymond Green Arrested on Assault Charges in Michigan

Draymond Green was arrested for assault on Sunday in East Lansing, Michigan. The arrest was first reported by MLive. The details of the case have yet to be made public. The offense took place at 2:28 a.m. and Green has a court date on July 20.

The arrest of Green comes just a week after the Golden State Warriors announced the signing of free agent Kevin Durant.

Green just completed the first season of a five-year, $85 million contract with the Warriors. He helped lead the team to a 73-9 record and a second straight appearance in the NBA Finals. He hit career highs for points (14.0), assists (7.4), rebounds (9.5) and field goal percentage (49 percent) along the way.

East Lansing is home to Michigan State, where Green played his college ball from 2008-2012. Green was part of two Final Four teams with the Spartans and was named a first team All-American as a senior. He recently gave Michigan State the biggest donation in the history of its athletic department.
