DIVA DISS: Cyndi Lauper Blast Madonna’s Profanity-Laced Tirade at Women’s March

Madonna, a former celeb in the music industry, made headlines last week by shouting “fuck you” at Donald Trump during the Women’s March in Washington, D.C. She also admitted having thought about “bombing the White House.”

Madonna’s didn’t sit well with another former celeb from the 1980s. Cyndi Lauper, best known for her hit rendition of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” was not a fan of Madonna “jacked up on emotions” tirade.

In an interview with television personality Andy Cohen, the pop diva said she didn’t think Madonna’s profanity-laced speech “served our purpose” or did anything to advance to cause of feminism.

“Anger is not better than clarity and humanity,” Lauper said. “That is what opens people’s minds. When you want to change people’s mind, you have to share your real story.”

Hollywood actress Ashley Judd also spoke at the Women’s March, and recited a poem comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler.
