Rage Against the Machine is rumored to be teaming up with Public Enemy and Cypress Hill to form a new supergroup.
According to Billboard, the band’s guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk are collaborating with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real on their musical comeback, with the group named ‘Prophets of Rage’.
The rumors were kickstarted by the recent launch of the website prophetsofrage.com, which features a live countdown to June 1, accompanied by the hashtag #Takethepowerback.
Billboard reports the new group will make its musical debut on June 3 with a live gig at the Hollywood Palladium in LA, with a summer tour potentially in the pipeline.
