Cara Delevingne is back from the dead in “Suicide Squad.”

The free-spirited British model-actress plays sorceress, Enchantress, in the DC Comics superhero blockbuster which will be released in August. It’s a small role which Delevingne herself has described as a “feral being”- so small in fact that Cara’s name did not even make the credits when the film’s first trailer was unveiled by Warner Brothers in January.

But when the second trailer was unveiled earlier this month, Cara’s name was in the credits.

Was it an oversight the first time? No. Has her part got bigger in the interim period? Pass.

The reason for Cara’s inclusion second time round, sources tell Heat Street, is that Cara has 5.13 million followers on Twitter. She has 29 million followers on Instagram. By contrast Suicide Squad’s official Instagram feed has nearly 670,000 followers, a trifle by comparison to its Enchantress.

Warner Bros hope to harness Cara’s full social media force for good going forward. After all they learnt how powerful social media can be when the ‘Sad Affleck’ meme unhelpfully went viral during the release of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”.

“Suicide Squad” is counting on the huge following commanded by ‘Crazy Cara’ to ensure they make their money back from the movie’s reported $250 million budget.
