Guns N’ Roses frontman (and substitute AC/DC frontman) Axl Rose is tired of being fat-shamed on the internet.
Rose, who at 54-years-old is not nearly as trim as he was during the glory days of GNR, is particularly upset about a series of unflattering photos taken during a concert in Canada in 2010. The images have inspired of “Fat Axl” memes that can been seen here, some of which have been recreated below.
Multiple complaints have been filed with Google on the artist’s behalf seeking to have the images — and the memes incorporating the images — removed from the internet, citing copyright violations. The complaints, submitted under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, argue that the photographer who took the fat photos did not sign a release and therefore the rights to the images belong to Rose. Despite the formal complaints, the photos are still available on Google.
