Actor Peter Vaughan died at age 93 Tuesday morning.
Vaughan is known for his recent role as Aemon Targaryen, head maester of the Night’s Watch, although his career spanned a whopping 75 years. He was perhaps best known for his role on the British sitcom Porridge.
His agent confirmed his death with a statement.
“This is to confirm that very sadly Peter Vaughan passed away at approximately 10:30 this morning,’ she said. “He died peacefully with his family around him.”
Rest in Peace to our own Maester Aemon, Peter Vaughan, who passed away this morning at age 93. Truly an honor to have known him.
