Yesterday we reported that Chris Evans – Matt LeBlanc’s co-presenter on his new BBC/BBC America show, Top Gear – has a penchant for flashing his penis to colleagues and then boasting about it.

Here are some other things LeBlanc may not have known about Evans before signing up to work with him:

His ‘Prima Donna Temperament’

When Evans was sacked from his job hosting a Virgin Radio show 2001, he tried to sue for £8.6 million in damages.

Unfortunately he lost, had to pay £1 million in legal fees, and got slammed by a High Court judge for good measure.

Mr Justice Lightman’s ruling said: “He has the temperament of a prima donna.”

His  Awkward Backing of a Notorious Child Sex Abuser

In 2011 Evans narrated a BBC tribute show to his fellow presenter Jimmy Savile shortly after he died.

It had been an open secret for years at the BBC that Savile had an unhealthy interest in teenage girls, some of whom were under the age of consent.

Combating gossip already swirling around Savile, Evans wrote a BBC blog describing his tribute show as “an antidote to some of the less kind things that have been suggested about this famous and much loved son of Leeds…”:

People Around Him Sometimes Die

When Evans was sailing a yacht off the south English coast in 2002, a friend of his fell off and drowned.

Last year, a pilot at a festival which Evans created in northern England  crashed his plane and died.

LeBlanc may be especially worried given the predilection of Top Gear for dangerous car stunts.

Prone to Lefty Political Outbursts

Evans is a long-time supporter of Ken Livingstone, the crackpot former Mayor of London.

In 2000, he donated £100,000 to his election campaign. He also landed his then- employer, Virgin Radio, with a £75,000 fine for breaching strict political neutrality laws which forbid endorsing candidates on air during an election campaign.
