Tomi Lahren Accused of Booting YouTube Star Shane Dawson From Event For Being Gay

Popular YouTuber  Shane Dawson is accusing The Blaze star Tomi Lahren of kicking him and his boyfriend from a veteran’s event for holding hands.

Lahren was hosting an event called “Remind the Nation” at the Sundance Film Festival to showcase films from veterans organizations.

In the video below you can hear Dawson yelling at security and claiming they “broke his leg.”

Lahren fired back on Facebook saying the reason Dawson and his boyfriend were ejected is because they were intentionally causing a scene.

From Lahren’s Facebook statement:

I was taking photos after the film screening when two gentlemen approached me for a photo. I was happy to do it. I put my arms around them when all of the sudden they jumped in front on me and started kissing. They were not there to support the event. They were not there to take a photo with me. They were there to instigate and make a spectacle to advance whatever political message they placed above common courtesy for our veteran event.

In now deleted tweets Dahson appears to claim his leg was “bent” and repeated the line that he was kicked out by Tomi Lahren for holding hands with a man.

However, in later tweets Dawson appears to be walking back some of his statements regarding Lahren, 24, a graduate of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.

Since last night Dawson has been silent on social media.

The video of the incident spawned the hashtag #IStandWithShane, where many including some celebrities showed their support for Dawson’s side of the story.

In another twist, a YouTube drama muckraker Keemstar says he talked with Dawson and says that security at the event may have confused Dawson and his boyfriend with the troublemakers Lahren referred to in her statement.

Here is Lahren’s full statement regarding the event.
