The oiled up Tongan flag bearer, Pita Taufatofua, is the latest victim of the pernicious female gaze. His shining body was violated, not only by the drooling announcers at NBC… but by the world.

If that wasn’t bad enough, watch as his body is reduced to a mere object to be slathered in coconut oil by Jenna Bush and Hoda.

Misandry, I say!

It’s time men rise up and demand that the female gaze be subverted to look into our face, our hearts, our minds. We are more than rock hard abs and distracting bulges.

Just look to what depths the female gaze has reduced the US men’s gymnastic team.

How could they get more attention? “Maybe compete with our shirts off,” US gymnast Sam Mikulak told the Wall Street Journal. “People make fun of us for wearing tights. But if they saw how yoked we are maybe that would make a difference.”

Internalized misandry is a huge problem in young men these days. They think the only way they’ll have a shot to make it in this world is to hit the gym and post beach selfies on Instagram.

But the media holds most of the blame. They perpetuate this culture of oppression.

“Going shirtless might not be going far enough,” said notorious woman’s rights advocate and Slate writer, Christina Cauterucci. “Booty shorts or briefs would be a welcome next step from our men in red, white, and pecs. If an alleged (but denied) bronze-medal boner elevated U.S. rower Henrik Rummel to fame, imagine what competing in swimsuits could do for men’s gymnastics.”

I have a dream where my son can live in a world where he is judged for his merits, not his boner. Where his oiled up, immaculate body will give Hoda no pause, as she examines his mind. Where men and women have no sexual desires, or at least brutally suppress them. A man can only dream.
