The University of Texas at Austin will host a series of student “twerkshops” on Friday to protest the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump.

The day-long event is called “Twerk the Inauguration,” and is sponsored by the prestigious University’s Center for Women’s & Gender Studies. Shakia Williams, a member of the New Orleans “Her Sins Burlesque and Cabaret” society, will headline the gathering, where students will be encouraged to “move together like nasty women” and “claim our bodies as our own, ungrabbable assets,” a reference to Trump’s infamous “grab her by the pussy” remark.

No previous dance experience is required to attend, but those wishing to show up as “observers” will be turned away. Each “twerkshop” will run for 75 minutes. A total of three will be held throughout the day on Friday. Attendees will also be invited to “share strategies for self-care and community building,” a trend that has exploded on college campuses in the wake of the election.

The “twerkshops” and being hosted in collaboration with the university’s gender studies course on “Beyoncé Feminism/Rihanna Womanism” taught by Dr. Omise’eke Tinsley.
