Update 2: Duh, it’s officially fake. Delta says they spoke with the other passengers on the flight and the supposed victims were actually yelling and causing a scene and that’s why they got kicked off.

The following is Delta’s statement:

Upon landing the crew was debriefed and multiple passenger statements collected. Based on the information collected to date, it appears the customers who were removed sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behavior, including shouting. This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight. While one, according to media reports, is a known prankster who was video recorded and encouraged by his traveling companion, what is paramount to Delta is the safety and comfort of our passengers and employees. It is clear these individuals sought to violate that priority.

Update 1: It’s 4:30pm and many big name publications like ABC News, BBC and the Guardian are still not calling this story what it is: a huge hoax.

CNN’s Soledad O’Brien claims to have a close friend on the plane who disputes the outrageous story being peddled by the mainstream media.

Social media was ablaze this morning after a Muslim guy claimed he got kicked off a Delta flight from London to New York, just for speaking Arabic on the phone with his mother. The man, professional YouTuber Adam Saleh, and his friend were removed from the flight and video-taped part of the incident.

Many were quick to denounce Delta for their apparent Islamophobia and chastise the other passengers who stood by and did nothing.

But Saleh is almost certainly making the whole thing up. Not only is he a YouTube prankster, but he’s a fake prankster. He’s so lazy he doesn’t even bother actually doing pranks—he just completely fabricates them.

Just last week, Saleh staged a prank where he was filmed climbing in a suitcase and claimed to illegally fly in the baggage hold from Melbourne to Sydney. Security tape from the airport showed him boarding the flight like a normal passenger.

He has also staged videos in order to drum up the perception of Islamophobia. In 2014 Saleh and his friends created a fake “racial profiling” video to smear the NYPD.

In the video a cop stops and frisks Saleh and a buddy simply because they were wearing traditional Islamic garb. Turns out the cop was an actor paid by Saleh.

Here’s another video of Saleh, loudly counting down in Arabic on a plane as a “social experiment.”

So after years of staging videos to create the perception of widespread Islamophobia AND causing scenes on planes, why would anybody believe this guy now?

In a statement Delta said the two were kicked off the flight for a “disturbance in the cabin that resulted in more than 20 customers expressing their discomfort.”

Quietly speaking Arabic on the phone does not seem like something that would make 20 passengers feel uncomfortable.UP{

This is so obviously another phony stunt from a habitual faker. But sadly with these situations the debunking story never gets as much attention as the original.
