Singer Lily Allen Quits Twitter After Trolls Viciously Savage Her Stillborn Son

Lily Allen, the British singer, has a love-hate relationship with Twitter but she’s once again quit the social networking service after online trolls viciously attacked her over the death of her son.

Allen has made no secret of the fact she had post-traumatic stress disorder after he son died while she was giving birth to him in 2010.

The trolls emerged from the unseemly forest when Allen responded to a fan who wondered when her mental health issues started by saying, “When I lay in a hospital bed with my deceased son stuck between my legs halfway out my body for 10 hours.”

One Twitter user replied “Are you saying that a British hospital left you, with a dead baby “stuck between your legs” for 10 hours? Liar!”

Another said: “Not to be a dick but I very highly doubt it was 10 hours” while another wrote, “Maybe if you didn’t pump your body full of drugs you wouldn’t have miscarried.”

While Allen has hardly been shy about her politics which are to the left of many, the hounding and abuse she got late last week crossed the line and once again highlighted Twitter’s problematic policy towards people who Tweet bad things.

Allen has never quite cracked America but is renowned in Europe for hits including “Smile” and “The Fear.” She wrote a song entitled “Something’s Not Right” about her stillborn son in 2015.

She has subsequently had two healthy daughters but was profoundly affected by the moronic inferno tweeting:

My timeline is full of the most disgusting, sexist, misogynistic, racist shit. Really, new levels. I’m no masochist so I’ll be back x

Her Twitter duties have now fallen to someone called Dennis:

Hi , I’m Dennis,I’ll be looking after lily’s twitter for a while.I can only communicate in gif form, and I’m going on a hate blocking spree.

Theories out there postulate “Dennis” might be Lily Allen. If that is the case- and there is no evidence that it is- can you blame her?
