This week, Milo Yiannopoulos’s “Dangerous Faggot” tour is taking a swing through Florida, with visits to the University of Central Florida, Florida State University and Florida Atlantic University.
Naturally, Milo has been met with protests, though they’ve been, according to him, “low energy” — at least compared to the protests that dogged him on the first leg of his tour. They also seem to have declined a bit in quality.
During a stop at Florida State, one protester, caught on camera, wasn’t even clear on who Milo was—just that he was told to turn up for the protest by a friend, who called Milo a “bigot.”
When pressed, he claims Milo is a “right-alt” figure who is “against LGBTQ+” and claims that as a “Trump supporter” Milo “embodies oppression.” He then tells the media crew that he’s never actually seen any of Milo’s videos.
In an ironic twist, the protester, who has made a dramatic assumption about his subject, tells the cameraman that his only message is love: “love everybody.”
Yiannopoulos is only about a quarter of the way through the fall leg of his tour. Upcoming events include a speech at George Washington University, Yale University, and a nationwide celebration of #WorldPatriarchyDay, which will, no doubt, be well received by campus feminists.
