Overnight, the Arabian Disney princess Jasmine got a new look at Disney World and Disneyland. Instead of the two-piece, midriff-exposing, body-shaming heresy, she’ll now get a more modest, feminist-approved look. Jasmine will be completely covered, neck to toe, thus subverting the male gaze and defeating the patriarchy.
The change comes as part of a redesign of many of the theme parks’ princess outfits. Jasmine’s, however, seems to be the most drastic overhaul.
