McDonald’s Twitter Account Calls Donald Trump ‘a Disgusting Excuse of a President’

Whoever runs McDonald’s Twitter account certainly isn’t lovin’ it.

At 9:16 A.M., someone on the fast-food chain’s account tweeted the following at the president: “@realDonaldTrump You are actually a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have @BarackObama back, also you have tiny hands.”

The tweet was even pinned to the top of the corporate account’s feed for a brief period of time before getting deleted.  At 10:22 A.M., McDonald’s tweeted out, “Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.”

Already, supporters of the president took to social media and called for a boycott:

President Trump’s love of fast food is well known.  During the campaign, he would occasionally post images of himself on Instagram enjoying meals from chain restaurants like KFC and McDonald’s:

Back in 2002, Trump appeared in a McDonald’s commercial with McDonaldland villain-turned-good-guy, Grimace, for the unveiling of the Big N’ Tasty sandwich.

Maybe McDonald’s global chief communications officer and former White House press secretary under President Obama, Robert Gibbs, can help clean this mess up.
