A Chicago man will no longer be able to exhibit replica guns at Wizard World Comic Con in Chicago, thanks to the keyboard activism of self-described “feminist beardo” Matt Santori-Griffith.

Santori-Griffith, the editor of Comicosity, was at first essentially told to f—k off after announcing to Wizard World staff that he won’t be attending the conference because of the presence of the gun booth.

His tweet got a lot of traction (a good portion from people making fun of him) but also caused his fellow social justice warriors to write in to Wizard World to complain about the man and his fake guns. (The man is a licensed gun dealer and sells real guns at his Chicago area store, but was planning to exhibit only replica guns at the convention.)

Griffith did not let up on his tweet storm until the gun dealer was stricken from the convention floor.

Wizard World will still have plenty of sword dealers, but thanks to Griffin’s brave carpal tunnel-inducing typing, comic book fans will no longer be able to purchase fake guns.
