Woke celebrity and social justice warrior Lena Dunham has been fighting against hurtful Halloween costumes forever. But this year, she forgot what she preaches and wore the anti-Trump costume “Grabbed Pussy.”
Yesterday, she posted her costume on Instagram with a caption: “Happy Halloween! With love from a Grabbed Pussy.”
But would Dunham’s 2016 costume be acceptable to the pre-2016 Dunham? The evidence suggests not.
In 2012, Lena Dunham came under fire for suggesting she wants to dress up as a Canadian serial killers Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka. She apologized, claiming that she doesn’t “find rape or murder funny” and such Halloween costumes would actually be in poor taste.
I obviously don't find rape or murder funny, rather the concept of a trio of hapless people in poor taste halloween costumes.

Later, she complained about not being able to dress for Halloween because “it’s been years since I thought of a costume that wasn’t going to hurt someone close to me.”
Been years since I dressed up for Halloween (bc it's been years since I thought of a costume that wasn't going to hurt someone close to me)

Dunham has also rallied against so-called “rape culture,” claiming it normalizes sexual assault.
