It’s that time of year when college students, including many graduates, move back in with their parents and think about getting a job someday.

Summer break also means a brief respite from the anti-free speech freakouts that have become increasingly common on college campuses across the country. These special snowflakes can get pretty rowdy when their “safe spaces” are violated by uncomfortable thoughts.

President Obama, who has already delivered a number of commencement addresses this year, has tried to persuade them to calm down. “Don’t feel like you got to shut your ears off because you’re too fragile and somebody might offend your sensibilities,” the president told graduates at Rutgers last week.

Hopefully they’ll take Obama’s message to heart. Because if even he can’t get through to today’s college students, we’re screwed.
