The Hollywood Gossip perked up today when Kourtney Kardashian posted a photo of her four-year-old daughter, Penelope, sporting heels and braids. Writer Angelina Ho-lie couldn’t believe that anyone, four-year-olds included, could walk down stairs in heels.
“We won’t even talk about Penelope’s myriad braids,” Ho-lie writes before doing precisely that, “which, guys, she’s not responsible for—because everybody’s pretty sure that’s called ‘Kardashian cultural appropriation,’ which they’re good at, and nobody wants to open that can of worms.”
Except Ho-lie, who still can’t even. “Most of the Kardashians/Jenners have donned dreadlocks and box braids and everything in between, so perhaps a four-year-old child should get a break, considering she likely doesn’t do her own hair. Those people who can’t walk down a staircase in heels are also likely to be the ones who can’t even braid their own hair, so we doubt a four-year-old could pull off that feat, despite being stair-agile.”
