A Dallas high school art teacher posted an Instagram video that shows her “shooting” at a video image of Donald Trump with a squirt gun and screaming “die” during the inauguration last Friday. The school district has since placed the teacher “on administrative leave” and opened an investigation.

The original video, which has since been deleted, was posted to the teacher’s Instagram account and was captioned with “Watching the #inauguration in my classroom like…. #no #stop #denial #squirtgun #hypocrisy #powerless #saveusall #teachthembetter #atleastitsfriday”, according to Townhall.

The footage shows President Trump projected on a whiteboard in the classroom, while the teacher aims a squirt gun at Trump, screaming “die!”.

Some people on the Internet claim they have identified the teacher as Payal Modi and that she teaches at W.H. Adamson High School in Dallas.

Despite the video being deleted from the teacher’s Instagram account, people have managed to get hold of the copy and upload it online:

It’s unclear from the video whether there were any students during the “performance” or who took the video. A right-wing blog, The Gateway Pundit, claims the secret service in Texas confirmed to them on Wednesday that the agency is “aware” of the video.

Heat Street reached out to the Dallas Independent School District press office and received the following statement:

“Today, we were made aware of a social media posting being circulated involving a teacher at W. H. Adamson High School. The teacher has been placed on administrative leave and the district has opened an investigation. This is a personnel matter and, as such, we can not comment.”
