It is undeniable that The Daily Show has lost a great deal of its charm and edge since the departure of Jon Stewart. And the show under Trevor Noah certainly has taken a turn towards political correctness and social justice browbeating.
That’s why it is strange that a harmless joke by Noah would drive the ire of social justice warriors on Twitter.

In the quip, Noah compares people freaking out over the lack of an audio jack in the new iPhone to people freaking out over the lack of a penis on a trans woman. It’s not very funny, but the joke was made at the expense of over-obsessive techies and transphobes.
But, of course, like any joke in 2016, it offended a bunch of people. Social justice warriors on Twitter clambered out of their safe spaces to castigate Noah for perceived transphobia.

Whelp, just goes to show you, if you don’t want to be labelled a racist/sexist/transphobe in the current year, you should just shut your mouth and hide underground until the world gets sane again.
