Chuck Grassley Resumes His Vendetta Against the ‘History’ Channel for Showing ‘Pawn Stars’ but No History

We’ve heard lots of discussion about the end of history but Republican Senator and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley believes there’s an end to history on the History Channel or ‘History’ as it’s now called.

The cable channel’s owner A&E Networks, a joint venture between the Hearst Corporation and Disney, has rebranded programming in the last decade, leaving history buffs fuming at the diminished focus on events of the past.

One longtime critic of History’s programming changes has been the 83 year old Iowa Senator, who’s recently resumed his attacks on the counter-revolution:

Hurry Hurry watch some history on History Channel before it disappears for something not so historical

It’s fair to say he doesn’t tune into watch Las Vegas pawn shop show Pawn Stars:

If u don’t like history now is time to go HISTORY CHANNEL and u can watch PAWN STARS

His complaints are, well, historical, as Salon noted:

Ocassionally I turn to History channel hope to c history. Whenevr will the history channel hv a real old fashion histry program
