Campus Fury Over Tulane Frat’s ‘Trump Wall’

If you thought the #Chalkening was bad, this takes college Trump-triggering to a whole new level.

Students at Tulane University in New Orleans are gripped by outrage over a pile of sandbags outside a Kappa Alpha Order house spray-painted with “Make America Great Again”.

The construction, which is just shy of 6ft high, was torn down shortly after by angry students. The frat says it was just a joke taken out of context.

Per the Times-Picayune , KA builds a sandbag wall every year ahead of an Old South-themed ball at its off-campus house.

This year, the inhabitants decided to Trump it up as a lampoon of the GOP frontrunners’ signature policy.

But this sparked an angry reaction from on-campus groups, who launched a petition condemning the wall, which it said is “threatening” to Muslim and Latino students and a microaggression in physical form.

A Kappa Alpha spokesman defended the wall as satire, and are seemingly leaving it at that.

The Tulane administration said the university is offering support to students who “feel impacted”.
