Apparently, and perhaps not so shockingly, President Trump’s America is losing its allure to potential international visitors, and not just those from the Middle East.

According to data crunched by Hopper, a mobile app used to predict and analyze airfare, flight search demand from abroad to the U.S. has dropped 17% since Trump’s inauguration. The so-called travel ban, of course, hasn’t helped.

Russians appear to be more eager for a U.S. visit than ever, with flight search demand surging 88% over the same time frame

According to mobile app Hopper

Interest in traveling to the U.S. fell 1.8% in the same period last year, suggesting that these declines are much more than just a matter of seasonality.

Overall, 94 of 122 origin countries where Hopper has culled sufficient data have seen a decline in interest. Russians, however, appear to be more keen for a U.S. visit than ever, with flight search demand surging 88% over the same time frame.

As you can see in the graphic below, Russia provides a rare splash of green on this map dominated by shades of red. Green represents strong interest in visiting the U.S., while red is declining interest.

Of course, the seven nations on the banned list showed the biggest drop, as the following table shows:

San Francisco was determined by Hopper to be the city that could miss out on the most tourist dollars, with a 33% drop in international interest.

Meanwhile, New York and Boston stand to be hurt the least.
