Taylor Swift is officially the highest paid woman in music, pulling in a staggering US$317.8 million dollars by fall of last year.
UK’s The Express says the 25-year-old’s hit album 1989, current world tour, endorsements for brands such as Diet Coke and Elizabeth Arden and investments in three companies which handle music management and touring are behind her extraordinary income.
Her 1989 tour which saw her perform 85 concerts around North America, Asia, Europe – and with concerts still to come in Australia – is a massive earner for the young star.
It was reported that five shows in North America sold 149,708 ticket sales, earning Swift $23.17 million alone.
LA-based media analyst Mike Raia told the newspaper: “Right now, Taylor is untouchable. She is so far ahead of everyone else in the industry that she has become not only a powerhouse entertainer but also an important mover and shaker on the commercial side of the music business.”
Forbes has already predicted that Swift could be a billionaire by her 30th birthday.
